Techno was created and developed far away from the mainstream. The underground sound got its deserved popularity in the past few years but there is a lot of movement in sound with sub-genres and a lot of talent you may not hear about.

We believe underground producers and labels deserve special recognition, so we will be dedicating our new feature series to this cause.

This week we will have a look into the underground scene in Berlin and it’s veterans.

Ray Kajioka is a German Techno producer, remixer, DJ, Live Act since 1995, based in Berlin.

He is best known for his works on Kanzleramt, Cocoon, Müller, especially for his hits “Thrill” and “Never Ending” which have been listed in many DJ charts, since.
Also by his remixes for Joel Mull, Heiko Laux, Truncate, Victor Calderone, Tom Hades, Pan-Pot, Elbee Bad, Alexander Kowalski, DJ T1000, Eddie Hale, Housemeister, Beroshima and more.

A distinguishing and striking aspect of his music is certainly the warm spheric and impulsive sound, which is constantly present in all of his productions.
Ray’s live and DJ-performance encompasses all the elements of today’s modern Techno/Nu-House, but has its feet firmly planted in the roots of the Detroit-vibe.

“The typical Ray-sound” is appreciated all around the globe and had taken him to events international-wide, since.

But when it comes to Ray, you wont find much in his biography, you should look into his music.
